I’ve been wanting to organize my personal WordPress site for a long long time. I tried to do it last year by adding images I liked and customizing it beyond the Vivero template but it felt very daunting to do. This year, part of my digital studies seminar is creating a digital portfolio that showcases the work I’ve done and the skills I’ve acquired. Having this extra motivating factors will help me actually get this done I think. I’ve already made changes today and during my class yesterday. Seeing the practicality of it post-Grinnell as a way for employers to see what I’m capable of is more motivating than just using it for my Vivero blog posts. I’m less intimidated by it this year and I’m more excited about the ways I can make it my own. I have questions about specific capabilities still, but I feel more confident about finding those answers on my own.
