This week was fairly easy because I already created documentation for a task in the previous week for my project. My project lead had asked if there was a way to have images be enlarged when clicked on within the website, so I did some research and figured out how to do it. It was a simple fix of installing the Responsive Lightbox and Gallery plug in and then going into individual images and changing the settings. It was such an easy process that I figured the students themselves could learn how to do it too. So, I created a document that included screenshots of my own screen as I walked through the process and then explanations with each step. I felt very organized and informed while making it and I hope it improved the students’ comfortability on WordPress. I found it helpful to include screenshots as I was doing things because it left even less room for error and if the student’s screen doesn’t look like the example for some reason there might be a larger issue. Along with screenshots, explaining things in as simple terms as possible also helps. People are coming from different backgrounds and levels of comfortability with technology, so it’s better to over explain than leave some people behind.
