In the Weeds

Grinnell College publishes a volume of Rootstalk: A Prairie Journal of Culture, Science, and the Arts every spring semester. The publication is put together by a class of students each year who edit submitted works and write their own as well. During the spring semester of 2024, I was part of the annual HUM-295: Digital Publications class and contributed to the 10th volume of Rootstalk.

Over the semester, I edited a submission from Suzanne Kelsey titled “Altered Roots, Altered States, Altered Lives” and created my own article about foraging titled “In the Weeds.” For both of these pieces, I copy edited them as well as formatted them for digital publication on the website.
