Hello! My name is Kailee Shermak and I’m a current 4th year student at Grinnell College. I’m a sociology major with a digital studies concentration. My time at Grinnell has led me to interests in social data collection/analysis that help better peoples’ lives and figuring out ways to best make that information accessible to the broader public.
As part of the Vivero Digital Fellowship, I’m currently working with science librarian Gina Schlesselman-Tarango to create a website companion for her book Power, Information, and Reproductive Health.
In addition to being a Vivero fellow, I also work at the Sexual Health Information Center (SHIC) on campus and am on the leadership board for Grinnell’s chapter of National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), the swim team, and the water polo team!
